In this series, I have taken old family portraits, and re-photographed them with broken glass overlays. The broken glass is more than just an old photo whose frame broke. These photos deal with the loss of memories of people or events. There are cracks over certain people, and some faces are completely obscured. As people age, the memories fade, things get fuzzy, and some people get forgotten. We use photographs to help remember events, however, it can be difficult to remember, even with photographic evidence. The writing on some of the images adds to the uncertainty of memories.
